Mumbai, held at Sayaji Hotel in Kolhapur, India. Industry Perspectives on Heat Exchange Performance
Karan Suleria, Technical Sales Manager at Güntner, presented “The Hidden Cost of Poor Heat Exchange,” examining how evaporator and condenser performance can directly influence cooling efficiency, operating costs, and product quality. The session highlighted why lifecycle energy performance should be evaluated alongside initial investment when selecting industrial refrigeration equipment.

Supporting India’s Transition to Efficient and Sustainable Cooling
India, the world’s largest milk producer and the second-largest producer of fruits and vegetables, continues to see strong demand for reliable cold chain infrastructure. With the cold storage market projected to grow at a CAGR of over 12%, the need for efficient, scalable, and sustainable refrigeration solutions is becoming increasingly important across dairy, agriculture, food processing, and logistics applications.
At the same time, the implementation of the Kigali Amendment to the Montreal Protocol is accelerating the phase-down of high-GWP refrigerants, creating further momentum for natural refrigerants such as ammonia (NH₃). As a highly efficient natural refrigerant with an established role in India’s industrial refrigeration sector, ammonia is widely used in large-scale cold storage and food processing applications.
