Güntner’s Sector-Leading Website Scoops Award
Güntner has won Silver in the ‘Best Corporate Website’ category of the prestigious Digital Impact Awards Europe. This year saw a record number of entries for the competition, which celebrates the very best in digital corporate communications.
The Güntner website was relaunched last year as part of a major rebranding, tied to a new marketing approach that focuses on solutions and impact. The judges praised in particular the new site’s graphic design, which they said “lifted it out of a sea of sameness”.
Working with UK-based digital transformation agency Freestyle, Güntner’s marketing team began the relaunch process by holding workshops with colleagues around the world to fully understand their needs before creating a new structure and visual design for the site. They then introduced accessibly-written case studies and articles demonstrating the holistic benefits of Güntner’s solutions, as well as the company’s commitment to sustainability and innovation.
“We still have basic information about our products, but if people want to learn more, they can contact us or enter our customer portal, myGüntner,” said Gerle.
In the first nine months after the new site was launched, visits increased by 27%, the number of new visitors grew by 73%, and mobile visits more than doubled.
The new website has also made Güntner more attractive to potential new recruits. “Previously the site didn’t talk about sustainability and our company values, but a company’s purpose beyond making profits is increasingly important in today’s job market,” said Gerle. “Now, when job candidates come for an interview, and the topic of our website comes up, the first thing they talk about is the case studies, especially the younger ones.
