Güntner IMPACT Summit 2025:

Shaping the future of cooling in Asia Pacific and beyond

The Güntner IMPACT Summit 2025 successfully concluded its proceedings in Bali, Indonesia, between October 28th and 30th, 2025. Bringing together over 200 customers and partners spanning the Asia Pacific, Middle East, and Central Asia, the summit centered on the core theme: "Shaping the Future of Cooling Together."

Significantly, the event also celebrated Güntner’s three decades of successful operation within Indonesia. The strategic choice of Bali as the host location for this vital APAC-focused summit clearly signals Güntner’s deep-seated commitment to the region and its dedication to addressing specific local customer requirements.

“Our sector enables modern life, from fresh food and safe medicines to the digital networks we rely on. The work is often invisible, but it is indispensable. Every decision, design choice and partnership carries responsibility for our communities and our planet.”
Michael Bauer Group Head of Sales, Growth & Success, A-HEAT
“Asia doesn’t wait for policy to move; we act because it’s right. Progress is a shared responsibility, built on genuine partnership, mutual learning and collective action. Let’s measure impact not only in kilowatts or cubic metres, but in trust, reliability and responsibility.”
Glen Wiles Managing Director of Asia Pacific, Güntner

The summit served as a critical platform to explore how innovation, partnership, and shared responsibility are shaping the trajectory of sustainable cooling. It featured insights from global and regional leaders, with an agenda detailing the technologies defining the next decade, covering key topics such as the growing importance of ESG and sustainability reporting, natural-refrigerant innovation, optimizing defrost efficiency, AI integration in cooling systems, datacenter cooling and enhancing renewable-energy readiness. The diverse contributor lineup—including solution providers, advisory firms, and end-users—underscored the power of cross-industry collaboration.

Real-world success stories brought these themes to life. Katsuhiko Harada, President of Nihon Netsugen Systems, shared the development journey of CO₂ Unit projects in Japan:“You can always trust Güntner’s capacity and datasheet. Herbert Schupfer, Head of Future Solutions of Güntner, unveiled the latest findings from Güntner’s FFB Laboratory, including advanced defrosting research and precise temperature control solutions from a recent project in Vietnam. He also introduced the IMPACT Rating, which sparked strong interest among customers looking to measure both performance and sustainability.

Beyond the formal sessions, engaging, hands-on exhibitions fueled dynamic discussions. Attendees had the opportunity to explore Güntner’s aicore™ controls and IoT solutions, which are crucial for enabling the remote monitoring and performance optimization of condenser units. Furthermore, the Cubic VARIO Air Coolers served as a concrete demonstration of the company’s latest advancements in achieving improved defrosting efficiency and enhanced sustainable operation.
