aicore™ air is the future of controls solutions for dry operation cooling applications primarily focusing to provide cooling to the water or refrigerant medium by synchronously ramping EC fans. Combined with advanced features around precision cooling, this guarantees the most exact energy efficient control to maintain the desired outlet temperature or inlet pressure for coolers and condensers.

The aicore™ air controller can be flexibly integrated into different control systems using our wide range of operating modes and interfaces.

With a focus on data, additional features support optimisation, ease of use, maintenance, and serviceability to ensure uptime. With aicore™ cloud IoT solution, all this data and functionality are combined with our analytics to provide the highest level of efficiency and support.

FREE COOLING

To benefit from times of operation when the dry cooler can provide all of the needed cooling without the chiller/compressor, a modulating valve allows for partial load and full load operation. This fea-ture can be automatically initiated by monitoring ambient temperature and inlet and outlet temperatures at the chiller.

HEAT RECOVERY

Through valve modulation, the controller determines if enough heat is possible to effectively be re-covered (Tmin) and as well direct excess heat through the heat exchanger when needed (Tmax).

BYPASS MODE

In the event of controller failure, emergency operation is automatically switched on to keep the system running smoothly.

ADVANCE THRESHOLD

Allows the user to pre-set a trigger to drive a function or output signal, based on a combination of temperatures, pressures, and control values. Emergency Mode through threshold enables the controller to automatically detect a high temperature or pressure, setting fans to maximum as a failsafe.

PLUG N’ PLAY

Using our control system, each EC fan has its own dedicated Modbus signal enabling a plug n’ play system. Immediately recognising and parameterising each fan for the application. Standard communication protocols and flexibility through control with different operating modes allow for setpoints to be automatic, remote, or even directly follow the client control signal.

PARAMETER LOAD/SAVE

The ability to save, load, and create new parameter sets directly for the application allows for con-sistent set-up and operation across an entire fleet of cooling equipment, increasing the reliability and allowing for simple rapid commissioning.

WINTER OPERATION

In low-ambient temperatures, NCC mode (Natural Convection Control) prevents cooling through internal convection by reversing fans to trap the warm air from the coil, allowing for the highest precision of control and prevention of over-cooling. Additionally, with the break-free light ice and snow removal feature of the EC fans, a reliable winter cooling solution is offered.

MAINTENANCE & CLEANING

Ensures that during extended periods in which the heat exchanger is non-operational, the fans are switched on at regular intervals to prevent damage. To keep the heat exchanger coil clean, fan rotation is reversed at regular intervals to regularly blow out debris. Together these functions always keep the unit ready for operation.

SAFE OPERATION

In the unlikely event of failure, bypass operation is automatically switched over to keep the system always running reliably.

LCMM

In phases of reduced demand, partial load operation (Low Capacity Motor Management) ensures energy savings and avoids performance fluctuation. This is thanks to switching off individual fans or fan groups, by using machine learning.

SOUND MANAGEMENT

Night-Mode is used for compliance with noise restrictions controlled automatically or remotely, specifically for nighttime noise reduction.
