Güntner IMPACT 2025 Summit:
The future of refrigeration in Asia-Pacific and beyondThe Güntner IMPACT 2025 Summit successfully concluded its work in Bali, Indonesia, from 28 to 30 October 2025. Bringing together more than 200 customers and partners from Asia-Pacific, the Middle East and Central Asia, the summit focused on the central theme "Shaping the future of refrigeration together."
Importantly, the event also celebrated Güntner's three decades of success in Indonesia. Güntner's strategic choice of Bali as the venue for this vital APAC-focused summit clearly indicates Güntner's deep commitment to the region and its dedication to meeting the specific needs of local customers.
The Summit served as a key platform to explore how innovation, partnership and shared responsibility are shaping the trajectory of sustainable refrigeration. It showcased the views of global and regional leaders, with an agenda detailing the technologies that will define the next decade, covering key topics such as the growing importance of ESG and sustainability reporting, innovation in natural refrigerants, optimizing defrost efficiency, integrating artificial intelligence into refrigeration systems, data center cooling and improving readiness for renewable energy. The diversity of participants, including solution providers, consultancies and end users, highlighted the power of cross-industry collaboration.
Katsuhiko Harada, President of Nihon Netsugen Systems, shared the history of CO₂ unit project development in Japan: "You can always rely on Güntner's capability and track record." Herbert Schupfer, Director of Future Solutions at Güntner, presented the latest findings from Güntner's FFB lab, including advanced defrosting research and precise temperature control solutions from a recent project in Vietnam. He also presented the IMPACT rating, which has attracted great interest from customers looking to measure both performance and sustainability.
Beyond the formal sessions, the hands-on presentations generated dynamic discussions. Attendees had the opportunity to explore Güntner aicore™ controls and IoT solutions, which are essential to enable remote monitoring and optimization of condensing unit performance. In addition, Cubic VARIO air coolers served as a practical demonstration of the company's latest developments to achieve higher defrost efficiency and improve sustainable operation.
At the end of the event, a message resounded clearly: the future of refrigeration is not to wait, but build it together. The energy, ideas and collaboration demonstrated in Bali reaffirmed Güntner's leadership in promoting responsible innovation and building a sustainable future for the global refrigeration industry.
